Day 2: The Power of Intercessory Prayer

Scripture Reading

Luke 5:17-26

Devotional

The friends in Mark 2:1-12 brought their paralyzed friend to Jesus; through this act they were interceding on his behalf. This act of faith highlights the power of intercessory prayer. When we pray for others, we are bringing them before the Lord, trusting Him to do what only He can do. Intercessory prayer is a powerful way to show love and support for those around us. It is an act of faith that can lead to miraculous changes in their lives.

Bible Verse

“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” – James 5:16

Reflection Question

Who in your life needs your intercessory prayer today, and how can you commit to praying for them consistently?

Quote from Sermon

“We can still in faith and with faithfulness bring people before our Lord for him to do what only he can do on their behalf.”

Prayer

Lord, I lift up those in my life who need Your healing and guidance. Help me to be faithful in interceding for them, trusting that You will work in their lives. Amen.
