The vision of New Jerusalem ends with the river of life, the tree of life, God’s eternal presence with His people, and Christ’s urgent call to be ready for His return.
John sees the new heaven and earth as New Jerusalem descends. God dwells with His people, wipes away every tear, and makes all things new while separating the wicked forever.
Satan is bound, martyrs reign with Christ, and the devil is finally defeated. All the dead are judged, with destinies decided by deeds and the Book of Life.
With heavenly “hallelujahs” resounding, Christ returns as conquering King of kings. The Lamb’s bride celebrates her wedding feast while Antichrist’s armies fall and their corpses become food for the birds.
