This devotion is based on the sermon: What are we to do with the Old Testament? (Pt 2)
Devotional
God’s truth is like a beautiful melody that can be played on different instruments while maintaining its essential character. While the specific expressions might change, the core principles remain the same. This is how we should understand God’s law across both testaments – the underlying principles of love, justice, and holiness remain constant, even as their application might look different under the New Covenant. This understanding helps us appreciate both the consistency of God’s character and His wisdom in relating to different peoples across time.
Bible Verse
“For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.” – 2 Corinthians 5:21
