Luke 2:1–52
The Savior Comes for All People
A Guided Journey Through Scripture
UNDERSTANDING LUKE 2
The Promised Savior Is Born
Luke takes us from Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem to His childhood in Nazareth, showing how ordinary people encounter the promised Savior and respond to Him.
Angels announce the good news of Jesus’ birth to shepherds. Later, Simeon and Anna recognize Him as the promised Savior. Even as a child, Jesus begins revealing His unique relationship with His heavenly Father.
As you read, notice the different ways people respond to Jesus and how His coming brings good news not only for Israel, but for all people.
Jesus is the promised Savior whose coming brings good news and salvation for all people.
