This devotion is based on the sermon: Not for Likes
Devotional
Living for God’s approval rather than human applause requires a fundamental shift in our perspective. It means choosing to serve, give, pray, and fast in ways that might never be noticed or appreciated by others. This counter-cultural approach to spiritual life isn’t easy, but it’s incredibly freeing. When we release our need for human recognition, we discover the deep satisfaction of pleasing God alone. Our acts of worship become more authentic, our service more pure, and our relationship with God more intimate. This is the path to true spiritual fulfillment – living for an audience of One.
Bible Verse
“When you pray, don’t babble on and on as the Gentiles do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again. Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him.” – Matthew 6:7-8
Reflection Question
