Jesus demonstrated the ultimate example of honoring family even in His most difficult moment. While suffering on the cross, He ensured His mother’s care was secured. This powerful example shows us that true honor often requires sacrifice and putting others’ needs before our own. It might mean helping with tasks when we’re tired, being present when we’re busy, or serving in ways that stretch us beyond our comfort zone.

At the end of the day, our wives, our mothers, because of the tasks that they’ve had at hand, are just as tired, if not more so, than we are. And yet, instead of looking for ways to fulfill our desires and needs, we ought to be selflessly looking at ways to serve them.
Prayer
Jesus, thank You for modeling sacrificial love. Help me to serve the mother figures in my life with the same selfless attitude You demonstrated. Give me the strength to put their needs before my own. Amen.
