Introduction
As a pastor, I am blessed to be afforded more time than many to be in God’s Word, as studying for preaching is part of my job description. Another benefit of being a pastor is the number of resources I can access because my church generously allows me to invest an annual amount in growing my library.
With this said, I feel a responsibility to share what I glean from some of these resources to help you grow in your faith more than just on Sunday mornings. The Study Notes below are an attempt to be a good steward of what God has blessed me with as a preacher. The format for each passage of Scripture may differ, but this is because I’m still trying to figure out how I want these resources to look and be, so please grant me grace in this area.
Below, you will find commentary—just notes from my study—and other helpful resources to help you study Genesis.
